     Born in the Midwest, Timothy Mason's family traveled around until settling in Salt Lake City, Utah.  New England has been his home for the past three decades, mainly Cambridge and Worcester, MA. He holds degrees from The University of Utah and Antioch University. An empathetic soul, Tim has worked extensively in human services and counseling, but his strongest passions are in poetry and music.

     Tim is a prolific poet, having published a number of volumes of his work, but his style is intended to be performed, read aloud, and his poetry is often accompanied by music. His performances have brought him all over, and his roles at various venues have been diverse... presenting Folk music at such places as Club Passim in Cambridge, bringing renown to the Old Vienna Kaffeehaus and organizing events at Hezekiah Stone's Coffeehouse in central MA. He is also Director of the New England Folk Music Archives.
